The Zeiss Optical Coherence Tomogram (OCT)

Image of The Zeiss Optical Coherence Tomogram (OCT)

The Zeiss Optical Coherence Tomogram (OCT) highly sophisticated imaging tool takes slices through the retina and optic nerve and gives us a cross-sectional view of these structures; a little bit like a CT or MRI scan elsewhere. In retinal diseases, the OCT is invaluable in looking at the macula in precise three-dimensional detail. We have acquired the most sophisticated version of this non-invasive but definitive imaging system.

The current Zeiss OCT, soon to be upgraded to the Cirrus on release in January 2008
